Action verb stem + -는데 · Descriptive verb/adj + -(으)ㄴ데 · Noun + -인데
Like saying 'So we're going to X, and...' — -는데 gives background context before making a request, asking a question, or introducing a contrast. It doesn't finish the thought — it sets the stage.

규칙
가다 → 가는데 · 먹다 → 먹는데 · 살다 → 사는데
춥다 → 추운데 · 바쁘다 → 바쁜데 · 학생인데
1. Request: 배고픈데 뭐 먹을까? · 2. Question: 숙제가 있는데 어때요? · 3. Contrast: 맛있는데 비싸요.
예문
- 내일 바쁜데 도와줄 수 있어요?I'm busy tomorrow — can you help?
- 비가 오는데 우산 있어요?It's raining — do you have an umbrella?
- 이게 맛있는데 한번 먹어 봐.This is delicious — try some!
