어서 오세요 / 들어 오세요Welcoming Expressions

어서 오세요 = Welcome! (at the door) · 들어 오세요 = Please come in (inviting inside)

Korean has two distinct phrases when welcoming a guest. 어서 오세요 is said first when they arrive at the door, and 들어 오세요 invites them inside. Both use -세요, the polite imperative form.

• 들어 오세요. 자리에 앉으세요.Please come in. Please have a seat.
